  q) K2 H- T  l5 Z; J& N! Jforward in audio recorder technology. Quite simply, it
re-states the art of analog audio recording.
1 g7 t& q- g" D& v( j' y$ d# V6 T   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with
7 a6 t( x' G& Hthe latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has
engineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
capabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
1 o  i0 U* v% v% F8 h9 B8 }# pprocessor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
1 j$ Q6 N( J/ P7 J9 qgives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
at all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
+ K) c! F' l0 F( p; v; Z0 I1 \one autolocate position are always at hand.
   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
: U& H0 j8 [) m* U0 Nthree "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
variety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
: K0 B0 s( [3 W7 ]0 W; e8 ]' blocate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
; i9 B1 g$ f1 qdump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
program your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
3 q/ W4 C+ t$ d# D3 e5 dre-program it later for another use.
    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
4 Q2 c0 E: y* }parameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
% ~8 c$ G) }  C( |pad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
programming alignments into the A810's memory, you
simply push a button to re-align when switching tape
formulations.
     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
9 T# x9 V& `  D6 Qelectronics with our choice of either transformerless or
transformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
phase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
+ M! S4 w# s. t  slinearity. The new transport control servo system responds
* m, n. j8 v1 l3 ^% F" B, P0 Qquickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
0 }8 Z- U# Y( G' F     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
) x8 c5 P" g' n5 V6 Soffers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
: }4 y* i9 w& Q; d0 h0 g7 qbetween stereo audio channels. Separate time code
5 a& v$ p' R1 T$ cheads auido/code crosstalk of better
than 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
; ]# C5 p6 u0 N8 D4 f" ocompensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
audio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.

     If you'd like computer control of an these functions,
simply order the optinal serial interface, the comp (?)
with RS232, RS422, and RS422 modified (??)
     More feathures standard and optional are available.
