3 A7 v6 U! ]7 ~6 U( Cforward in audio recorder technology. Quite simply, it
re-states the art of analog audio recording.
   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with
the latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has
engineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
capabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
processor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
gives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
at all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
one autolocate position are always at hand.
' R) j! ]; t6 ?  L   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
8 o% i3 x: X9 m# J- o5 w1 t" \: Xthree "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
variety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
locate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
dump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
program your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
6 d+ R( U" C* b8 ~5 P4 hre-program it later for another use.
6 |1 L3 T, k- j3 Y    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
parameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
4 D/ [! ?4 ?: e# rpad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
programming alignments into the A810's memory, you
. r% W6 M5 G# s: r: ysimply push a button to re-align when switching tape
( x8 P6 f! e# K9 h; j) p* dformulations.
& O: n$ e8 T, ~3 q     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
0 x; o0 u3 |/ o, X. Y, Nelectronics with our choice of either transformerless or
transformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
5 R& F3 q8 U4 Tphase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
7 c) i9 |+ U* O% _linearity. The new transport control servo system responds
$ C/ r, h3 K2 }  D" \% N' d  x. Yquickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
) }$ a, `2 ^- v     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
) e- S* A' _, ?6 {% S. c+ G; c: A; Yoffers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
between stereo audio channels. Separate time code
heads auido/code crosstalk of better
than 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
5 a; L$ I( r3 A3 K4 Vcompensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
7 v6 B: s. b$ M' N! taudio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.
Except you only the "4" tape. (?)

simply order the optinal serial interface, the comp (?)
with RS232, RS422, and RS422 modified (??)
